ViroProbe™ Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1-Z3678M Probe

This HIV1-env probe is designed to target Human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV) isolate Z3678M RNA in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. | Introduction : | HIV-1 is a retrovirus, belonging to a group of heterogeneous, lipid-enveloped RNA viruses. HIV subverts the immune system by infecting CD4+ T cells. Over time, they cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein (Env), a glycoprotein of 160 kD (gp160), is an essential structural component of the virus and is solely required for binding and entry into host cells. |
