Anti-MAstV Drug Discovery Products

Mamastrovirus (MAstV) is a member of the Astroviridae family and is a positive-sense, single-stranded RNA virus. It mainly infects mammals including humans. It is a leading cause of viral gastroenteritis in children and adults, especially in immunocompromised individuals. The most well-known MAstV that affects humans is the human astrovirus (HAstV), which is responsible for a significant portion of non-bacterial gastroenteritis cases in children and adults.

The genome encodes structural proteins: the capsid protein (VP1-4) which forms the icosahedral viral capsid, and non-structural proteins: the protease (NSp1), the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (NSp2), and the cofactor (NSp3).

HAstV contains eight serotypes (HAstV-1 to HAstV-8). HAstV-4 is the most prevalent serotype in humans, followed by HAstV-1 and HAstV-2. HAstV-3 is rare in humans, but it has been identified in wastewater treatment plant environments. HAstV infections are usually self-limiting and do not require antiviral treatment. Vaccines are not available for HAstV infection prevention.

At Creative Biolabs, we have developed various anti-astrovirus antibody products with high specificity and sensitivity. Our team is pleased to help you choose the right antibody for your research, enabling you to achieve groundbreaking discoveries in MAstV and immunology.
