Anti-Coxsackievirus Drug Discovery Products

Coxsackievirus is a type of enterovirus in the Picornaviridae family that is closely related to poliovirus. This virus causes viral enteritis symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea. In some cases, Coxsackievirus infection can lead to more severe symptoms such as myocarditis, pancreatitis, and meningitis. The virus is transmitted through the fecal-oral route and is widely distributed worldwide.

Coxsackievirus is a non-enveloped virus with approximately 25-30 nm in diameter. Coxsackievirus has a single-stranded RNA genome with approximately 7.5kb in length. The viral capsid consists of four proteins (VP1-VP4) and mediates viral attachment and entry into host cells. VP1, VP2, and VP3 proteins mediate binding host cell receptors. VP4 is a protease that is involved in the cleavage of viral polypeptides during virus assembly. Coxsackievirus also has multiple serotypes (A, B, C, and D) with significant genetic and antigenic differences. Vaccines are available for some serotypes of coxsackievirus, but not all serotypes. At Creative Biolabs, we provide anti-coxsackievirus antibody products targeting various serotypes and antigens.
