Anti-PARV Drug Discovery Products

Human Parvovirus is a member of the Parvovirus genus within the Parvoviridae family. The infection is self-limiting and typically lasts for several days. However, in some cases, especially in immunocompromised individuals, the infection can last longer and cause more severe symptoms.

There are two HPV types: B19 and PARV4. B19 is the most common type and is associated with the majority of HPV cases. It is often related to the disease known as fifth disease or slapped cheek disease which is characterized by a red rash on the face and a low-grade fever. However, in immunocompromised individuals, such as those with AIDS or cancer, B19 can lead to prolonged infections and severe anemia. PARV4 is less common and causes a different set of symptoms. The virion is a small, non-enveloped virus with approximately 25-30 nm in diameter. The genome is a single-strand DNA with approximately 5.5 kb in length, The genome encodes the structural proteins including the capsid protein. At Creative Biolabs, we provide various anti-human parvovirus antibody and probe products for researchers. These antibodies are used for the detection and quantification of parvovirus in infected cells and tissues.
