Anti-IAV Drug Discovery Products
Influenza viruses are common viruses that cause disease in humans and animals. There are four types of influenza viruses, influenza virus A-D. Influenza A virus (IAV), a member of the influenza A genus within the Orthomyxoviridae family, mainly infects humans and birds and some subtypes can affect pigs, dogs, and horses. The surface of the IAV virion contains hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA). Different virus subtypes are classified by their surface proteins HA and NA. There are 18 HA and 11 NA proteins, generating more than 130 IAV subtype combinations. H1N1 and H3N2 are the most common IAV subtypes. The genome of IAV is eight single-stranded, negative-sense, viral RNA segments that range between 890 and 2340 nucleotides in length and encode 17 proteins. The HA and NA proteins play a vital role in IAV infection and are the main targets for these neutralizing antibodies. NP, M1, and PB1 typically induce the T-cell-mediated response. At Creative Biolabs, we offer antibody products targeting various influenza virus types including IAV.
