ViroProbe™ Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1 Base Probe

Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. The Base specific probe is designed to detect the nucleotide difference in the single cell including splice variants, short/highly homologous RNA sequences, and point mutations. This probe is designed to target Human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) RNA and is specific for the detection of HIV1 in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for HIV infections research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Target Details

Full Name : Human immunodeficiency virus 1
Accession number : KM390026.1
Target Region : 9580-9672
Introduction : HIV-1 is a retrovirus, belonging to a group of heterogeneous, lipid-enveloped RNA viruses. HIV subverts the immune system by infecting CD4+ T cells. Over time, they cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). The HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein (Env), a glycoprotein of 160 kD (gp160), is an essential structural component of the virus and is solely required for binding and entry into host cells.
Alternative Names : Human immunodeficiency virus 1; HIV1; HIV
