Lenti-SARS-CoV-2 S Pseudovirus [Luciferase]

SARS-CoV-2 spike pseudovirus is generated by co-transfection 293T cells with psPAX, pLenti-Luciferase and a plasmid encoding SARS-CoV-2 S. The supernatants were harvested at 64 hours post transfection. The supernatants are centrifuged to remove cell debris and passed through filter to get pseudovirus. The pseudovirus express SARS-CoV-2 spike protein on the surface, and also a luciferase reporter which can be used to evaluate the SARS-CoV-2 infection when co-culture with human ACE2-overexpressed pseudohost. Pseudoviruses are useful virological tools because of their safety and versatility.
