Lenti-JUNV GP Pseudovirus [GFP, VSV Packaging System]

The 293T cells expressing JUNV GPC proteins were infected with VSVΔG* which encodes the GFP gene. After 24 h the infected cell supernatants were collected and the pseudotyped viruses were purified by centrifugation through sucrose density gradients. The produced pseudoviruses carry JUUV GPC proteins, which is a powerful tool for Arenavirus vaccine development and entry inhibitor research.

Target Details

Introduction : Junin virus, also known as Argentine hemorrhagic fever (AHF), is a viral hemorrhagic fever caused by an infection with the Junin virus. It is typically transmitted to humans through contact with infected rodents. The glycoprotein of Junin virus is a viral protein that plays a crucial role in the entry of the virus into host cells and the initiation of infection. The glycoprotein is composed of two subunits, GP1 and GP2, which are generated by proteolytic cleavage of a precursor glycoprotein. GP1 is responsible for receptor binding, whereas GP2 is involved in membrane fusion.
Alternative Names : Junin virus; GPC Pseudovirus; GPC; JUNV
