Lenti-CCHFV GP Pseudovirus [GFP, VSV Packaging System]

The 293T cells expressing CCHFV GP were infected with VSVΔG* bearing a GFP gene. After 24 h the infected cell supernatants were collected and the pseudotyped viruses were purified by centrifugation through sucrose density gradients. The produced pseudoviruses carry CCHFV GP, which is a powerful tool for vaccine development and entry inhibitor research.

Target Details

Introduction : Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) is a member of the Bunyaviridae family and Nairovirus genus. The viral genome consists of 3 RNA segments of 12 kb (L), 6.8 kb (M), and 3 kb (S). The L segment is 12164 nucleotides which bind to a promoter on each encapsidated segment, and transcribes the mRNA. The S segment of nairoviruses encodes only a large N protein and has no known nonstructural protein coding information. The M segment of the nairovirus seems to encode only G2 and G1. CCHF is the most widespread tickborne viral infection worldwide: it has been reported in many regions of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
