ViroProbe™ Human Papillomavirus 27 Probe
Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of human papillomavirus 27 (HPV27) which is associated with common warts. It is designed to target HPV27 RNA in cellular and tissue environments in situ hybridization. The probe is for HPV18 research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

| Introduction : | Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a DNA virus from the Papillomaviridae family. More than 200 types of HPV have been recognized. They have been divided into 5 genera: Alphapapillomavirus, Betapapillomavirus, Gammapapillomavirus, Mupapillomavirus and Nupapillomavirus. HPVs can also be grouped to high-risk and low-risk HPV types according to their oncogenic potential. They do not cause any problems in most case. Some HPV infections can stay in the body and lead to complications, including genital warts. HPV 2, HPV 7, HPV 27, and HPV 57 cause common warts. HPV infection may also cause more serious conditions, such as certain types of cancer (eg. cervical cancer). |
