ViroProbe™ Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1/Clade AG Probe
Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This HIV1/Clade AG probe is designed to target Human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV)/Clade AG in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for HIV infection research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Introduction : | Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the body's immune system. Two types of HIV have been characterized: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is more virulent and more infective than HIV-2, and is the cause of the majority of HIV infections globally. HIV-1 is further classified into four groups; M, N, O and P. Of these, group M is the most widespread worldwide. Group M is divided into nine distinct clades (A, B, C, D, F, G, H, J and K) and several circulating recombinant forms such as HIV-1 CRF01_AE and CRF02_AG. The HIV infection leads to low levels of CD4+ cells and loss of cell-mediated immunity. Over time, they cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). |
