ViroProbe™ Digoxigenin-labeled Cytomegalovirus Probe, 40 tests
This Cytomegalovirus probe is specific for the detection of Cytomegalovirus. The probe can be used for the detection of Cytomegalovirus EBER DNA in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens by chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH). The probe is for human Cytomegalovirus infections (such as mononucleosis and pneumonia) research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Introduction : | CMV is a double-stranded DNA virus and is a member of the herpesviruses. It is related to the viruses that cause chickenpox and infectious mononucleosis (mono). Human CMV is the most studied of all cytomegaloviruses. HCMV is a common virus that is usually harmless and most people with CMV infection have no symptoms. For people who have weakened immune systems CMV infection can be fatal. |
