ViroProbe™ Bovine Astrovirus Probe

Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of bovine astrovirus (BoAstV) in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for BoAstV infections (including gastroenteritis and neurological symptoms) research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Target Details

Full Name : Bovine astrovirus
Accession number : KF233994.1
Target Region : 5232-6180
Introduction : Astroviruses (AstV) belong to the Astroviridae family, including two genera Mamastrovirus (MAstV) and Avastrovirus (AAstV). MAstV infection presents clinically as gastroenteritis and neurological symptoms in mammals. AAstV can lead to hepatitis, nephritis and diarrhea in birds. Astroviruses are genetically diverse and may cause cross-species transmission, including a high potential for zoonoses. The first isolate of bovine astrovirus (BoAstV) was reported in England in 1978. The reports of BoAstV in cattle with intestinal disease, neurological symptoms and even respiratory disease indicates that it has multiple tissue tropism.
Alternative Names : Astrovirus; Bovine astrovirus; BoAstV; BAstV
