ViroProbe™ Avian Infectious Bronchitis Virus Probe
Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for IBV infections research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Introduction : | Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) is a widespread avian coronavirus, whose control relies mainly on extensive vaccine administration. IBV causes infectious bronchitis, targeting the respiratory and uro-genital tract. IBV mainly causes respiratory disease in the infected birds but also lowers egg production, and can cause kidney damage. Probably the major reason for the high profile of IBV is the existence of a very large number of serotypes. The immune response against this virus is complicated by the few similarities among serotypes. |
