ViroProbe™ Andes orthohantavirus Probe

Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This Alpaca Polyomavirus probe is specific for the detection of Andes orthohantavirus (ANDV) in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for ANDV infections (hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome(HCPS) and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome(HPS)) research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Target Details

Full Name : Andes orthohantavirus small segment
Accession number : NC_003466.1
Target Region : 2-1550
Introduction : Andes orthohantavirus (ANDV) is a rodent-borne member of the Hantaviridae family of viruses of the Bunyavirales order. Their genome consists of three negative polarity single-stranded RNA segments designated large (L), medium (M), and small (S), encoding RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, envelope Gn and Gc proteins, and N protein, respectively. The ANDV is a major causative agent ofhantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome (HCPS) andhantavirus pulmonary syndrome(HPS) in South America. This zoonotic virus has as main reservoir the Oligoryzomys longicaudatus and human represents an accidental host. Additionally, ANDV is the only hantavirus that can be spread by human to human contact.
Alternative Names : Andes orthohantavirus small segment; Andes orthohantavirus; ANDV; Small segment; S segment; S
