ViroProbe™ 6 Low-risk Human Papillomavirus Types Probe
Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of 6 low-risk HPV types including HPV 6,11 40, 42, 43, and 44 in cellular and tissue environments in situ hybridization. The probe is for HPV research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

| Introduction : | Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a DNA virus from the Papillomaviridae family. More than 200 types of HPV have been recognized. They have been divided into 5 genera: Alphapapillomavirus, Betapapillomavirus, Gammapapillomavirus, Mupapillomavirus and Nupapillomavirus. They do not cause any problems in most case. Some HPV infections can stay in the body and lead to complications, including genital warts. HPV infection may also cause more serious conditions, such as certain types of cancer (eg. cervical cancer). HPVs can also be grouped to high-risk and low-risk HPV types according to their oncogenic potential. Low-risk HPV types are types: 6, 11, 42, 43, 44, 54, 61, 70, 72, and 81. These strains have no association with cancer but can lead to genital warts. |
