Lenti-RV GP Pseudovirus [GFP, HIV-1 Packaging System]
Lenti-RV GP Pseudovirus is produced by cotransfecting 293T cells with the plasmid enconding RV GP, the HIV type 1 (HIV-1) gag-pol construct pCMV-Δ8.91, and the GFP reporter construct pCSGW. Pseudovirus-containing supernatant was harvested 48 h following transfection. The supernatant was cleared of cell debris by centrifugation and filtered through a 0.45-μm-pore-size filter. The produced pseudoviruses carrying RV GP is a powerful tool for studying mechanism of virus entry, antiviral mechanism, neutralization antibody assay, and screening antivirus inhibitor.

Target Details
Introduction : | Rabies virus belongs to the order Mononegavirales, viruses with a nonsegmented, negative-stranded RNA genomes. Within this group, viruses with a distinct "bullet" shape are classified in the Rhabdoviridae family, which includes at least three genera of animal viruses, Lyssavirus, Ephemerovirus, and Vesiculovirus. Rhabdoviruses are approximately 180 nm long and 75 nm wide. The rabies genome encodes five proteins: nucleoprotein (N), phosphoprotein (P), matrix protein (M), glycoprotein (G) and polymerase (L). All rhabdoviruses have two major structural components: a helical ribonucleoprotein core (RNP) and a surrounding envelope. |
