Lenti-NiV G Pseudovirus [SEAP, VSV Packaging System]
The 293T cells expressing NiV G proteins were infected with VSVΔG* which encodes the SEAP gene. After 24 h the infected cell supernatants were collected and the pseudotyped viruses were purified by centrifugation through sucrose density gradients. The produced pseudoviruses carry NiV G proteins, which is a powerful tool for vaccine development and entry inhibitor research.

Target Details
Introduction : | Nipah virus (NiV) is a deadly pathogen, which is transmitted by bodily fluids from pteropid fruit bats and livestock to humans. It is a nonsegmented, single-stranded, negative-sense RNA virus belonging to the genus Henipavirus, family Paramyxoviridae. The NiV envelope contains two surface glycoproteins required for cellular entry: the attachment protein (NiV-G) and fusion protein (NiV-F). Niv-G allows for attachment of the virion to cellular receptors, whereas NiV-F mediates the direct union of the virus and cellular membranes. |
Alternative Names : | NiV G; GP; NiV; Nvgp5; NiV G Pseudovirus |
