Lenti-MBGV GP Pseudovirus [Luciferase, HIV-1 Packaging System]
MBGV GP Pseudovirus is produced by cotransfecting 293T cells with the mammalian expression vector pCMV4neo encoding MBGV GP protein and HIV-1 NL4-3 carrying a luciferase reporter gene. Pseudovirus-containing supernatant was harvested 24 h following transfection. The supernatant was cleared of cell debris by centrifugation and filtered through a 0.45-μm-pore-size filter. The produced pseudoviruses carry MBGV GP proteins, which is a powerful tool for MBGV vaccine and entry inhibitor research.

Target Details
Introduction : | Marburg viruses (MBGV) are enveloped, single negative-stranded RNA viruses belonging to the family Filoviridae. The viruses are the most deadly human-disease-causing agents (biosafety level-4 pathogens ). MBGV infection in humans is often associated with severe hemorrhagic fever and high mortality. MBGV contains a transmembrane glycoprotein (GP) which is heavily glycosylated with both N-linked carbohydrates (including high-mannose oligosaccharides) and O-linked carbohydrates. GP forms the trimeric spikes that occupy the entire surface of the virion. It is responsible for cellular binding and fusion. Therefore, GP is a key target for preventing MBGV infections. Ssubstances that directly interact with GP might interfere with filovirus infection by preventing viral entry into and/or fusion with the target cells. |
