Lenti-LCMV GP Pseudovirus [EGFP, MLV Packaging System]
Lenti-LCMV GP Pseudovirus is produced by transfecting 293T cells with MLV gag/pol, pQCXIX-EGFP, and an LCMV GP expression plasmid. Pseudovirus-containing supernatant was harvested 48 h following transfection. The supernatant was cleared of cell debris by centrifugation and filtered through a 0.45-μm-pore-size filter. The produced pseudoviruses carry LCMV GP, which is applied for studying mechanism of virus entry, antiviral mechanism and screening antivirus inhibitor.

Target Details
Introduction : | The Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV) is a member of the Arenaviridae family and is associated with a disease called lymphocytic choriomeningitis. This virus was first discovered in 1933 when it was isolated from a patient with meningitis. LCMV is considered to be a zoonotic virus and primarily transmitted through the urine, saliva, and droppings of infected rodents. The virus typically causes a mild or asymptomatic illness in humans. However, in individuals with weakened immune systems or during pregnancy, LCMV infection can lead to more severe complications, including meningitis, encephalitis, and even fetal malformations or miscarriage. |
