Bac-SARS-CoV-2 S Pseudovirus
SARS-CoV-2 spike pseudovirus is generated by co-transfection 293T cells with a modified baculovirus vector, a fluorescent protein vector and a plasmid encoding SARS-CoV-2 S protein. The supernatants were harvested at 64 hours post transfection. The supernatants are centrifuged to remove cell debris, concentrated and passed through filter to get pseudovirus. The pseudovirus express SARS-CoV-2 spike protein on the surface, and also a fluorescent reporter which can be used to evaluate the SARS-CoV-2 infection when co-culture with human ACE2-overexpressed pseudohost. Pseudoviruses are useful virological tools because of their safety and versatility.

Target Details
Introduction : | An outbreak of a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19; previously known as 2019-nCoV) was reported since last December, 2019. Now COVID-19 is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation, and has become a pandemic.SARS-CoV-2 consists of four structural proteins, including S (spike), E (envelope), M (membrane), and N (nucleocapsid) proteins. As an important envelope protein, S protein is identified as the protein responsible for virus entry into human cells, and S protein is the major target for anti-SARS-CoV-2 therapeutics discovery. |
