Target Details

Target Region : 95-1400
Introduction : Canine parvovirus (CPV) is a member of the Parvoviridae family of viruses characterized by small isometric particles containing a single stranded DNA genome. The genome encodes for two non-structural (NS1 and NS2) and two structural (VP1 and VP2) proteins. CPV is not limited to dogs, but is capable of causing infections in wild canines. CPV commonly causes acute gastrointestinal illness in young and/or unvaccinated dogs. Two different CPVs are recognized, named the pathogenic CPV-1 (also named minute virus of canine (MVC)) and CPV-2.
Alternative Names : Canine parvovirus; CPV; CPV gp2
Virus Strain : CPV-N
