ViroProbe™ Canine Bocavirus 1 Probe

Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of Canine Bocavirus 1 (CBoV-1) non-structural protein (NS1) RNA in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for CBoV-1 infections (including respiratory, intestinal, and reproductive disease) research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

BoVs have been linked to both respiratory and enteric disease. To date, 3 bocaviruses, canine bocaviruses 1 to 3 (CBoV-1-3), have been shown to affect dogs with different disease manifestations reported for infected animals. In general, most CBoV-1 infections in dogs appear to be subclinical, but It can cause abortions in bitches and severe respiratory, intestinal infections in newborn puppies and possibly neurologic signs in dogs.
