ViroProbe™ Canine Bocavirus 1 Probe
Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of Canine Bocavirus 1 (CBoV-1) non-structural protein (NS1) RNA in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for CBoV-1 infections (including respiratory, intestinal, and reproductive disease) research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Introduction : | Bocaviruses (BoVs), a member of the Bocaparvovirus genus in the Parvoviridae family, are known to infect multiple mammalian species includ-ing humans, cows, pigs, chim-panzees, dog, cats. BoVs have been linked to both respiratory and enteric disease. To date, 3 bocaviruses, canine bocaviruses 1 to 3 (CBoV-1-3), have been shown to affect dogs with different disease manifestations reported for infected animals. In general, most CBoV-1 infections in dogs appear to be subclinical, but It can cause abortions in bitches and severe respiratory, intestinal infections in newborn puppies and possibly neurologic signs in dogs. |
