ViroProbe™ Bovine Parvovirus 3 Probe
Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This probe is specific for the detection of Bovine Parvovirus 3 (BPV3) in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for BPV3 infections (including Gastroenteritis, respiratory and reproductive disorders) research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Introduction : | Bovine parvovirus (BPV) is a small icosahedral virus containing single stranded DNA and belongs to the group of nondefective parvoviruses. BPV was first discovered in 1961 in the gastrointestinal tract of diarrheal calves, but appears to be widespread in both healthy and diarrheic calves. BPV most commonly causes acute gastroenteritis, respiratory disease and reproductive disorders such as spontaneous abortions and stillbirths. There are three significant sub-species: BPV1, 2 and 3. |
Alternative Names : | Bovine Parvovirus; Bovine Parvovirus 3; BPV; BPV3 |
