Target Research Highlights

Subgroup J avian leukosis virus (ALV J) infection plays an important role in the development of histiocytic sarcomatosis (HS) in chickens. The expression of viral antigen gp85 within HS lesions was much lower than that noted in ALV J-induced myelocytomas, which was verified by immunohistochemistry assay with ALV J gp85 MAb. The mechanisms of oncogenesis of HS might be different from those of other ALV J-induced tumors.
