ViroProbe™ HPV 6/11/16/18/31/33/51 Probe

This HPV 6/11/16/18/31/33/51 Probe is a mixture of HPV type 6/11/16/18/31/33/51 probes. The probe is specific for the detection of HPV types that have been associated with either benign lesions presenting as condylomas and mild dysplasia, as well as types commonly associated with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and carcinoma in situ (CIS). The probe can be used in a variety of hybridization techniques. The probe is for HPV infections research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Full Name : Human papillomavirus
Introduction : Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a DNA virus from the Papillomaviridae family. They do not cause any problems in most case. Some HPV infections can stay in the body and lead to complications, including genital warts. HPV infection may also cause more serious conditions, such as certain types of cancer. HPV 6 and 11 are most often detected in benign condylomas and low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions of the cervix. The 14 most cancer-causing HPV types include types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68.
