ViroProbe™ Digoxigenin-labeled HPV 16/18 Probe, 40 tests

This HPV 16/18 Probe is a mixture of HPV type 16/18 probes. The probe is specific for the detection of HPV types that have been associated with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and carcinoma in situ (CIS). The probe can be used for the qualitative detection of HPV 16/18 DNA in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens by chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH). The probe is for HPV infections research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

The HPV type 16 and 18 are known to be responsible of 70% of cervical cancers and precancerous cervical lesions
