Target Details

Full Name : Canine Papillomavirus 12
Target Region : 8-694
Introduction : Canine papillomavirus (CPV) is a small circular double-stranded DNA genome virus that belongs to Papillomaviridae family. The papillomavirus genome consists of early gene (E) and late gene (L) regions. The early viral proteins E1 to E7 play roles in replication of the viral genome or control cell cycle to enhance viral DNA replication.
CPVs are associated with a variety of cutaneous and oral manifestations. CPVs are classified into three different genera: Lambdapapillomavirus, Taupapillomavirus, and Chipapillomavirus. Currently 23 CPVs have been identified with molecular techniques. CPV 1 is highly associated with oral squamous cell carcinomas (SCC). Apart from CPV 1, the malignant transformations had been reported in CPV 2-, 3-, 7-, 12-, 16-, and 17-associated lesions.
Alternative Names : Canine Papillomavirus 12; CPV12
