ViroProbe™ AAV-5 gp1 Probe

Creative Biolabs provides probes that can amplify target-specific signals and detect RNA target expression with high sensitivity and specificity. This AAV-5 gp1 probe is specific for the detection of adeno-associated virus 5 (AAV-5) gp1 in cellular and tissue environments. The probe can be used in situ hybridization. The probe is for adeno-associated virus 5 research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.

Target Details

Full Name : DNA binding trs helicase
Accession number : NC_006152.1
Target Region : 360-1347
Introduction : Adeno-associated viruses (AAV) are small viruses that infect humans and some other primate species. AAV belongs to the parvovirus family and is dependent on co-infection with helper viruses (including adenovirus, cytomegalovirus, human papillomavirus, and herpes simplex virus), in order to replicate. AAV infection is asymptomatic and can last a lifetime. AAV vectors are the leading platform for gene delivery for the treatment of a variety of human diseases. There are several known AAV serotypes, with AAV-2 and AAV-5 being the most commonly studied.
Alternative Names : Adeno-associated virus 5; AAV-5; DNA binding trs helicase; Rep protein; Rep; Rep22; gp1; AAV5 gp1
