Lenti-MERS-CoV spike Pseudovirus [Luciferase, FIV Packaging System]

MERS-CoV spike Pseudovirus is produced by cotransfecting 293T/17 cells with pCAGGS-MERS-CoV spike, pCSFLW expressing firefly luciferase, and p8.91 expressing HIV-gag. Pseudovirus-containing supernatant was harvested 48 h following transfection. The supernatant was cleared of cell debris by centrifugation and filtered through a 0.45-μm-pore-size filter. The produced pseudoviruses carry MERS-CoV spike proteins, which is used for cellular entry mechanism and neutralization antibody epitope research.

Target Details

Introduction : MERS-CoV is a coronavirus. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause respiratory illnesses, characterized by , including fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The MERS-CoV spike (S) protein is an important viral antigen that is responsible for mediating host-receptor binding and virus entry. The two components of S protein are S1 containing the receptor binding domain (RBD) and S2 containing the fusion peptide. The RBD of S1 subunit is involved in the binding to the cellular receptor dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4). The S2 subunit is responsible for driving viral and target cell membrane fusion.
Alternative Names : MERS-CoV; S; Spike; Pseudovirus; Spike Pseudovirus; S Pseudovirus; MERS-CoV Spike Pseudovirus, MERS-CoV S Pseudovirus
