Lenti-LASV GP Pseudovirus [HIV-1 Packaging System]
LASV GPC Pseudovirus is produced by cotransfecting HEK293T cells with LASV GPC plasmids and pSG3Δenv encoding envelope-deficient core of HIV-1. Pseudovirus-containing supernatant was harvested 72 h following transfection. The supernatant was cleared of cell debris by centrifugation and filtered through a 0.45-μm-pore-size filter. The produced pseudoviruses carry LASV GPC proteins, which is a powerful tool for LASV vaccine and entry inhibitor research.

Target Details
Introduction : | Lassa virus (LASA) is a single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the family of Arenaviridae. It is a biosafety level 4 Old World arenavirus that causes haemorrhagic fever in West Africa. The LASV membrane glycoprotein is processed into GP1 and GP2 and an unusual stable signal peptide (SSP). GP1 is responsible for receptor binding. GP2 belongs to the class I fusion protein family and is involved in mediating fusion of the virion with a cell membrane. SSP is responsible for proper processing of GPC. |
Alternative Names : | GPC; LASV GPC; LASVsSgp2; LASV glycoprotein precursor; GP1; GP2 |
