Lenti-LACV G1/G2 Pseudovirus [β-Galactosidase, MLV Packaging System]

Lenti-LACV G1/G2 Pseudovirus is produced by cotransfecting 293T cells with the plasmid inserting G1 and G2 proteins, pcGP (MLV gag-pol), and a β-Galactosidase gene. Pseudovirus-containing supernatant was harvested 48 h following transfection. The supernatant was cleared of cell debris by centrifugation and filtered through a 0.45-μm-pore-size filter. The produced pseudoviruses carrying LACV G1 and G2 proteins is a powerful tool for studying mechanism of virus entry, antiviral mechanism and screening antivirus inhibitor.

Target Details

Introduction : La Crosse virus (LACV) is the causative agent of La Crosse encephalitis, a vector-borne disease of children in the United States. LACV is a member of the family Bunyaviridae, in the genus Bunyavirus. The Bunyaviridae are negative stranded RNA viruses with a tri-partite segmented genome composed of large (L), medium (M) and small (S) segments. The L segment encodes a polymerase
protein (also called L), and the M and S segments encode, respectively, an open reading frame for the viral glycoproteins (G1 and G2), and in some genera, a non-structural protein, and the nucleocapsid protein (N) with another non-structural protein.
Alternative Names : LACV G1/G2 Pseudovirus; G1/G2 membrane polyprotein; M; La Crosse virus
Gene ID : 956555
